History
Whitlow & Hawkins honors the children in all of us by combining 100-percent washable, feather-soft, natural fabrics with unique and modern designs . Our clothes are as timeless as the memories of the children who wear them. Our clothes incorporate a hint of the unexpected: such as a French-embroidered collar, or a Ming Dynasty-inspired floral motif, maybe even a retro, military-style button. Our designers integrate modern, unique touches without sacrificing the integrity of our classic designs, or the pliability and comfort of the garment.
The result? Elegant, original, and comfortable classics that adapt to the modern world without chasing after the latest fad or adult fashion movement. After all, we don’t expect children to dress just like us. We want kids to be themselves. Running around. Laughing. Playing. Unhindered.
Whitlow & Hawkins is carried in more than a hundred stores across the nation and will eventually be available in stores in Europe and Asia. Our exclusive prints and designs are created by an in-house staff that has worked with designers at places such as Ralph Lauren and Saks Fifth Avenue. We have been featured in the James Girone Online Guide to Chidrenswear, The Childrenswear Atlanta Directory, Earnshaw's, and other publications.
Whitlow & Hawkins was founded by Dorothy Park, a clothing designer for the past 16 years who graduated from the Parsons School of Design. She currently lives in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, New York with her husband, Justin, and two children.
